The Office of Chief Counsel receives numerous inquiries each year regarding the licensing, production, and sale of alcohol and malt or brewed beverages in Pennsylvania. The following are some of the most frequently asked questions. 

Please be advised that it is the Pennsylvania State Police, Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement (“Bureau”), and not the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (“Board”), which enforces the liquor laws in Pennsylvania. Further, information provided in the Frequently Asked Questions is not binding on the Bureau and is offered for information and guidance only.
