Elizabeth Brassell is the Director of Policy and Communications for the PLCB. In this role, Liz oversees the agency's Communications Office; the Bureau of Marketing Communications, Branding and Design; Events; Customer Service; E-Commerce; and the Purchasing and Contracting Administration Division.

Liz has more than 20 years of commonwealth service, joining the PLCB in September 2015 as Director of External Affairs, prior to becoming Director of Policy and Communications in October 2017.

Liz has served Pennsylvania state government across four administrations and within agencies including the Department of Environmental Protection, the Pennsylvania Lottery, the Department of Revenue and the PLCB. During her career, she led and advised a number of high-profile and complex initiatives.

A native of central Pennsylvania, Liz earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Penn State University, majoring in advertising and public relations and minoring in theater arts and business law.

Liz and her husband live in eastern Dauphin County, where their time away from work is largely consumed by raising two boisterous boys. Mothering provides endless opportunities for Liz to practice and model values imperative to work and home: integrity, compassion, critical thinking and grace.
